Interesting hotel with a creative strategic partnership. This hotel has a merged facility and location with an assisted living home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow--It seems to work!
This hotel is approximately 10-15 minutes by foot, from the main strain station and downtown Altstadt in Bonn.
The rooms were larger and the room I stayed in , had a deck door which opened to a small terrace and a peaceful garden. Very nice!. WIFI, AC, TV and shower all worked very well.
Breakfast was good with several choices. The breakfast room was very nice. Service was efficient and friendly as you dine with other hotel guests AND residents from the attached assisted living facility.
Indoor pool and sauna located on site.
Final take --recommended for the relaxed feel and the good breakfast.
Really nice hotel, it is also house for older people (your room can be next to an older person living there). To accommodate them, things are very relaxed, silent and easy to access. The pool was really warm for example, or if you are in hurry at the restaurant, people will look funny.
Having said that, it was pleasure for me and family. Location is great, rooms are specious. Restaurant and spa is good and in the facility. My default hotel in Bonn changed from Hilton to this.
Restaurant view was cemetery. This is a old people permanent stay and the hotel looks like a hospital. There’s no sign of hope or life. Our bed was uneven and we couldn’t sleep well. The shower was dirty and toilet was higher than standard level( uncomfortable). garden was nice! Furniture in the lobby were too old. Our energy dropped down as we arrived and I think a good designer can only make a difference here. I felt bad for those old people that they eat their meal everyday with cemetery view.
The hotel is very well located (7 mins from train station and 5 mins from city center). Offers a quiet time with beautiful garden. It is partly a home for old people but that is not in any way a disturbing factor. Besides a 15m pool and sauna, the hotel also has a good gym. Hint for pool - come in the evening as in the morning and during the day it’s quiet busy.
Yes it’s a hotel slash care home but it is a very curated experience. You would never notice. The elderly that reside there are like long staying VIGs and both hotel patrons and the residents are treated like royalty. Attentive is an understatement, everyone there is all knowing and ahead of the curve - coffee order remembered after the first visit, a la carte seamlessly catered to the late guest, room requests met with urgency and every interaction charming & professional. The rooms are spacious and modern. The amenities are ample especially the fitness studio/gym. The restaurant and it’s staff are beyond exceptional. Everything from the taste, presentation, service and hospitality are on par with fine dining. However, the meals we ate were traditional but paired with many flavorful and well versed accoutrements. Our organized lunches were like tasting menus with beautiful arrangements of seasonal and authentic dishes. The meeting and conference facilities we utilized were well equipped and the service there was also bar none. I truly enjoyed myself staying here and I adored the VIGs dining alongside us or greeting us when passing by. Location was central to shopping and dining with reliable parking. Ten stars!
Overall Collegium Leonium is a nice hotel to stay, close to the city center of Bonn. Parking is available in the parkinggarage across the steet (4.50 a day). The hotel looks tidy, there is a pool included. Breakfast is okay as well.
The rooms look nice. But ours was pretty hot and we couldnt get the aircoolingsystem to work, so the windows needed to be opened to get some cool air in to be able to sleep. What the hotel failed to mention is that there ks a discotheque across the street that blasts loud music till 4 o clock in the morning, that is very prominent when they book you a room.on that side of the hotel. We brought the complaint to the desk, the only thing they said was 'we are sorry about that'. No more. No compensation (a cup of coffee on the house would have done, but hey)
A beautiful hotel at a 6 min walk from the city center and 8 min walk from the main station. The rooms and service were fantastic, and the hotel has multiple services, such as a fitness room and a swimming pool. The hotel also offers permanent rooms for residents, meaning you'll be mixed with locals and holiday guests. The offer breakfast options as well. All in all, very nice hotel!
Lovely rooms in the garden floor with Superb romantic terrace
